Mexico2009Elections

Where does the PRI really stand?

Politics may unite the PAN and the PRD on only certain things, but they are important things, such as the right of free speech.  Protests can happen and reactions can be positive or negative, but the PAN and PRD roll no tanks out to greet the protestors.  The PAN and PRD still seek transparency and accountability.  The PAN and PRD will argue with each other until their throats are hoarse, but I believe they’ll both still fight for the rights of the people to argue.   What of the PRI?  How transparent is their party now?   How reformist is the party now and who are the political supporters within the PRI of their candidates?  Will they pass labor, security, or political reforms?  They are still the party of no change, just wait in hiding and block everything until people get tired of everyone else who tries to take them on.   It didn’t work in the 2000 or 2006 elections and yet the reforms still do not pass…
